font-size: 11px; font-weight: normal; color: black; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-top: 6px; \">The article goes on to report that attorney Clive Stafford Smith, who lived in England,&nbsp;received a&nbsp;letter from a&nbsp;commander at Guant\u00e1namo advising him that authorities were investigating \u201ccontraband being surreptitiously being brought into the camp\u201d by&nbsp;Smith and Zachary Katznelson, another lawyer at Smith\u2019s nonprofit organization in Britain.<\/p>\n<p sourceindex=\"507\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; font-weight: normal; color: black; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-top: 6px; \">The contraband, apparently, was Speedo swimsuits and Under Armour briefs.<\/p>\n<p sourceindex=\"508\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; font-weight: normal; color: black; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-top: 6px; \">Smith called the charges \u201cpatently absurd,\u201d and wrote back that his job \u201cinvolves legal briefs, not the other sort.\u201d And then added, \u201cDoes anyone seriously suggest that Mr. Katznelson or I have been stripping off to deliver underpants to our clients?\u201d<\/p>\n<p sourceindex=\"509\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; font-weight: normal; color: black; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-top: 6px; \">Lt. Col. Edward M. Bush III of the Joint Task Force at Guant\u00e1namo, however, said in an email response to a<i sourceindex=\"510\">Times<\/i>&nbsp;reporter that the investigation was no joke. \u201cContraband items are taken very seriously. They may be used in such a way to conduct harm or self-harm for which the Joint Task Force remains liable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p sourceindex=\"511\" style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; font-weight: normal; color: black; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-top: 6px; \">Without knowing the man, I am certain that Col. Bush is straight-arrow.
